Privacy Policy

The short version

We do not track you. This website has no analytics, no advertising pixels, and no tracking cookies. We collect only what you choose to type into our contact form, and that is emailed to us rather than stored on the website. We do not sell or share your personal information. If you have a question, or want us to delete something you sent us, just ask and we will take care of it.

Who we are

This website is operated by JoshFund.org, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Cape Coral, Florida. Our website is maintained for us by our marketing agency, Weber Advertising.

Information you give us

If you fill out our contact form, we receive what you type: your name, your email address, an optional subject line, and your message. We use it to read and respond to you. That is the only information you actively send us.

Your message is emailed to us. It is not saved on this website, and it is not sent to any outside form or marketing service.

Information collected automatically

This website does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking tools. There is no Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager, no advertising or social media pixel, no session recording, and no chat box.

This website does not set cookies on visitors. Because there is nothing to consent to, you will not see a cookie consent pop-up here. (If you log in as a site administrator, WordPress sets standard cookies to keep you logged in. That applies only to our own staff, not to visitors.)

The fonts used on this site are served from our own website rather than loaded from an outside font service, so viewing our pages does not report your visit to a third party.

Like every website, our web server keeps routine security logs of the requests it receives, which include IP addresses. These are used only to keep the site online and secure and to troubleshoot problems. They are not used to build a profile of you and are not shared for advertising.

Spam protection

Our contact form uses a hidden “honeypot” field to filter out automated spam. It checks the submitted form itself and does not profile you, track you, or send anything to an outside service. We deliberately do not use reCAPTCHA, which would share visitor data with Google.

Donations

Our Donate page uses a PayPal button. Clicking it opens PayPal in a new window, and your payment details are entered on PayPal’s own site and handled entirely by PayPal under their privacy policy. We never see or store your card or bank information. Nothing is sent to PayPal unless you click the button.

Embedded video

One of our blog posts includes an embedded YouTube video. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube does not set advertising cookies simply because you loaded the page. If you press play, the video is delivered by YouTube and their privacy policy applies to that playback.

How we use information

To read and respond to your message, and to run and improve this website. That is it. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build visitor profiles.

When we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. Your contact form message is delivered to our email account, which is hosted by our email provider, and is seen by JoshFund.org and by the agency that maintains this website for us. We would disclose information only if the law required it.

How long we keep information

Because contact form messages are not stored on this website, what remains is the email in our inbox, which we keep for as long as we need it to respond to you and to keep a record of our correspondence. If you would like us to delete a message you sent us, contact us and we will remove it. Server security logs are kept only for a limited period in the ordinary course of maintaining the site.

Your choices

  • Ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, using the contact information below.
  • Because this site runs no tracking, there is no tracking to opt out of and no cookie settings to manage.
  • Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you additional rights. Contact us and we will work with you.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold. No website or internet transmission can be guaranteed 100% secure.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date at the top.
